This brief interactive tutorial is designed to show you how to use the Quikscribe Hand Control.

To operate, simply click on the different buttons on the Quikscribe Hand Control and a brief description of the buttons function will be displayed.

Note: Because the Quikscribe Hand Control is controlled via the Comm Port on your PC, it allows the Quikscribe Recorder to seamlessly operate behind other Windows applications. Which makes it also ideal for recording training or presentation content, while at the same time capturing screenshots.

Pressing this button on the Hand Control allows you to REDO your last audio edit.

If you wish you can press the REDO button several times and REDO multiple audio edits.

If at any stage you wish to reverse what you have done, simply press the UNDO button, which will ERASE your audio edits.

This is a built in Microphone.

It is included so that you can begin using the package immediately.

Pressing this button on the Hand Control allows you to RECORD audio.

Note: If your wish is to RECORD large amounts of audio without having to hold the RECORD button down, you can change from "DICTATION mode" to "CONFERENCE mode" under settings-Record Control in the Quikscribe Software provided, which negates the need to hold down the RECORD button for extended periods of time.

Pressing this button on the Hand Control allows you to Rewind your audio.

If you wish to stop Rewinding, simply release the button again.

Note: It is possible to vary the REWIND speed using the Quikscribe Software provided.

Pressing this button on the Hand Control allows you to INSERT a Marker into your audio file. This marker then allows you to further INSERT a SCREEN SHOT (stored on the clipboard) or TEXT into your audio.

Note: IF you wish to capture a Screenshot, press PRINT SCREEN on your keyboard (which will capture the Full Screen) or press ALT PRINT SCREEN (which will capture the Active Window).To store text on the clipboard, select the relevant text then press CTRL C.
After you have the relevant information you wish to insert into your audio file captured on the Clipboard, simply press the INSERT button on the Hand Control and your information will be placed in a marker inside your audio file, ready to be used at a later date.

Pressing this button on the Hand Control allows you to FAST FORWARD audio.

If you wish to stop FAST FORWARDING, simply release this button.

Note: It is possible to vary the FAST FORWARD speed using the Quikscribe Software provided.

Pressing this button on the Hand Control allows you to PLAY your audio.

If you wish to stop , simply press the PLAY button again.
