View Close and Reopen a Dictation - QSR

If you are in the middle of a dictation and need to attend to another matter, you may close the dictation and continue dictating later.
To close and reopen a dictation, do the following:
• Click the Close Audio File icon (the closed yellow folder) to close the dictation.
• When you want to continue the dictation, click the Open Audio File icon (the open yellow folder).
• The Open Audio panel will now display. Select the dictation from the list in the big white box. When you select the dictation, you will hear an audio preview of it. Click the Open button in the lower right.
• Your dictation is now available for additional recording. Note the position of the indicator on the slider and the recording mode. If you wish to add dictation to the end of the file, make sure the indicator on the slider bar is at the end of the slider. If not, move the indicator to the end of the slider or change the recording mode to append. If you wish to insert or overwrite dictation, move to the desired position in the file and elect the applicable mode, i.e. insert or overwrite.
